8 Killed, 17 Injured in Mass Stabbing Attack in China

Eight people have been killed and 17 injured in a mass stabbing rampage at a vocational college in eastern China, local authorities said on Sunday. A 21-year-old male who was arrested at the scene of the stabbing spree has since confessed to the killings, police said. The male has only been identified as a former student, surnamed Xu, at the Wuxi Vocational College of Arts and Technology in Yixing in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. The attack occurred just days after another deadly attack in China led to mass casualties. On Nov. 11 a 62-year-old man was charged by police in Zhuhai, Guangzhou Province, over a deadly vehicle rampage outside a sports stadium—the deadliest attack in China in a decade.
