
Former BC Premier John Horgan Dies at 65

Ambassador to Germany and former British Columbia Premier John Horgan has died at the age of 65, following his third bout with cancer. Horgan served as B.C.’s NDP premier for five years before stepping down in 2022. He was appointed ambassador in November 2023. In June, Horgan announced he was on leave after being diagnosed with thyroid cancer. He served five terms as a member of the provincial legislature. He resigned his seat in March 2023, citing health reasons. He had received more than 30 radiation treatments for throat cancer. This is a developing story, updates will follow. ...
