
Survey Shows Muslim Voter Support for Major Parties Plummet
A recent survey by Muslim Votes Matter (MVM) indicates that Muslim voting intentions for the 2025 federal election have shifted dramatically, moving away from the two major parties. Of the 1,170 respondents, only 7 percent plan to vote for Labor, a steep drop from the 57 percent support they received in 2022. Support for the Liberal Party fell from 9 percent to 3 percent. This shift reflects widespread discontent with major parties, particularly due to frustration over the Albanese government’s response to the Israel-Hamas conflict and perceived inaction on other social issues.
