A doctor told the Lucy Letby inquiry that the nurse “misled and maybe manipulated” him into giving her information about the babies who died. The then-junior doctor at the hospital swapped 1,355 Facebook messages with Letby in a three-month period when they worked together between June 2016 and September 2016, the Thirlwall Inquiry heard on Monday. The former neo-natal nurse was convicted of murdering seven babies and the attempted murder of seven others at the Countess of Chester Hospital in a one-year “killing spree” between June 2015 and June 2016.
