Vance, Waltz Face Off in Vice Presidential Debate The U.S. vice presidential candidates faced off with each other on Oct. 1 in a surprisingly civilized debate that marked a striking contrast to the previous two presidential debates earlier this year. Researchers at Memorial University’s Marine Institute discovered a cold-water soft coral garden northeast of Fogo Island, N.L., the institute said in a Sept. 24 publication.
