
Met Office Warns of Further Flooding, Issues Yellow Alert

Britons are bracing for more flooding following a yellow warning by the Met Office for northern and eastern areas of England. Heavy rainfall is expected to cause travel disruption and flooding risks, affecting Newcastle upon Tyne, Sheffield, Leeds, York, and Hull. The yellow warning, issued by the Met Office on Tuesday, follows a very wet few days, which led to flooding for parts of Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, and Northamptonshire. More than twice the amount of average rainfall for September was recorded in Woburn, Bedfordshire, according to Met Office data.
