Farage ‘Relinquishes’ Control of Reform UK Party to Members

Nigel Farage has said he is “relinquishing” control of Reform UK, as a company and as a party. “I’m giving up control. I’m giving it to the members,” Farage said in a video posted to social media platform X on Thursday. Unlike most other political parties, Reform is a limited company and Farage owns 60 percent of the shares. Farage explained that the party was structured that way to make it easier for him to make “very fast decisions.” But he said the most important reason was “to prevent a small, nascent political party being taken over by malign actors.
