Sex Offender Harvey Weinstein Indicted on New Charges

Film producer and convicted sex offender Harvey Weinstein has been indicted on new charges, Manhattan prosecutors told a criminal court judge on Thursday. Because it’s a sealed indictment, prosecutors said that additional details couldn’t be provided, the Associated Press reported. The indictment will stay sealed until his Sept. 18 arraignment. Weinstein, 72, didn’t attend the hearing on Thursday because he was recovering from emergency surgery he had on Monday to remove fluid from his heart and lungs.
