California Man Arrested on Arson Charges Related to Line Fire

A suspect has been arrested on suspicion of intentionally lighting the Line Fire in San Bernardino County, which has torched more than 35,000 acres of land so far. In a Sept.11 statement on X, Shannon Dicus, sheriff of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, said that 34-year-old Norco resident Justin Wayne Halstenberg had been arrested and held in lieu of $80,000 bail at the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino. According to Dicus, Halstenberg has been charged with arson and is suspected of starting a fire in the area of Baseline Road and Alpin Street in the city of Highland, known as the Line Fire, on Sept. 5....
