King Charles’ Australia Tour Details Revealed, Will Skip New Zealand

King Charles and Queen Camilla will spend five days in Australia—between Oct. 18 and Oct. 23—before flying to Samoa for the 2024 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM). It’s the first time a monarch has visited Australia in over a decade—the last time was the late Queen Elizabeth II’s trip in 2011. It is the king’s first visit since his coronation in 2022 and his 16th overall. The couple last visited Australia in 2018 as the then Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall for the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
