US Lawmakers Warn Car Parts Retailers of Chinese Brand Under Investigation

The bipartisan House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party urged auto parts retailers on Sept. 6 to take caution in purchasing or selling parts from Chinese brand Qingdao Sunsong, which is currently subject to a federal investigation for trade fraud. “Public company disclosures reveal that U.S. auto part retailers like AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts, and O’Reilly Auto Parts account for more than 40 percent of [Qingdao Sunsong’s] sales,” wrote Committee Chair John Moolenaar (R-Mich.) and ranking member Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-Ill.), joined by Sens.
