Startup Aims to Slow, Prevent California Fires With Spray

MORGAN HILL, Calif.—Komodo Fire Systems, a startup company in Morgan Hill, has developed firefighting and fire prevention solutions aimed at combatting California’s wildfire problem. Wildfires in the state continue to be troublesome and show no signs of slowing down. As of Sept. 3, there have already been 5,755 wildland fires that have burned over 830,000 acres of California land this year, according to Cal Fire. Komodo Fire Systems, founded in 2019, developed a water-soluble and biodegradable spray to prevent fires from starting in the first place.
