In Powell River on B.C.’s northern Sunshine Coast, a local theatre has been entertaining residents for more than a century. With its classic red curtains and European-style architecture, the recently restored Patricia Theatre stands in stark contrast to the modern world—and preserves a piece of Canadian history. Opened in 1913, the Patricia is the longest-running theatre in the country and the only theatre in Powell River.
