Girl, 14, Charged With Attempted Murder After Student Set on Fire at Saskatoon School

A 14-year-old girl has been charged with attempted murder after a student was set on fire at a Saskatoon high school, police said Friday. She appeared in provincial court also charged with aggravated assault and arson, they said in a news release. The victim, a 15-year-old girl, is in serious condition in hospital with burns. Officers responded to the attack Thursday at Evan Hardy Collegiate, where they say a school resource officer apprehended a suspect and a teacher was also injured while trying to put out the flames.
