Federal Liberals Swoop on NSW Branch After Failure to Nominate Candidates

The federal Liberal Party’s executive plans to take over the running of the New South Wales (NSW) Division after it failed to nominate 140 candidates for seats across 16 councils in the state before the deadline, to be held later this month. The entire state executive branch, including party President Don Harwin, has been sacked. The meeting was held at the behest of Federal Liberal Leader Peter Dutton.
