At least nine people have died in connection with a listeria bacterial outbreak from Boar’s Head deli meats that led to a major recall across the United States, said federal health officials in an update last week. The new food poisoning deaths include two in South Carolina and one each in New York, New Mexico, Florida, and Tennessee, said the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in an update on Aug. 28.
