
Air Canada Offering Travellers Rebooking Flexibility as Possible Strike Nears

Air Canada is offering some flexibility for passengers who have booked flights in the lead-up to a possible pilot strike. In a vote on Aug. 22, 98 percent of Air Canada pilots voted in favour of a strike mandate that could happen as early as Sept. 17. The airline said that it is still working toward an agreement with the pilots, but has introduced a goodwill policy to allow customers flexibility in the event of a strike, according to an Aug. 27 Air Canada news release. Customers who have purchased tickets before Aug. 27 for Air Canada flights scheduled for Sept. 15 to 23 will be allowed to change travel plans with no additional costs....
