
Son Suspected of Shooting Mother and Killing 2 Others at Point Loma Home

SAN DIEGO—A Point Loma man was behind bars Aug. 22 on suspicion of carrying out a shooting rampage at his home, leaving his mother wounded and two other people dead. William Bushey, 60, allegedly shot the victims shortly before 4 p.m. Aug. 21 at the house he shares with his mother in the 3600 block of Zola St., a block from Point Loma High School, according to the San Diego Police Department. Patrol personnel arrived to find the suspect in front of the residence with a shotgun nearby, and took him into custody, San Diego Police Lt. Jud Campbell said. The officers then discovered the victims—Bushey’s mother, who is in her 80s, and a mortally wounded man and woman, believed to be in their 30s and 60s, respectively....
