Texas AG Sues General Motors Over Car Data Tracking

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is suing General Motors (GM) and its subsidiary OnStar LLC, accusing the automotive giant of engaging in deceptive practices related to the collection and sale of customer data. The lawsuit, filed Aug. 13 in a state district court in Montgomery County, Texas, alleges that GM has been unlawfully collecting, storing, and selling data from millions of its customers without informed consent.
