Dog Attack Suspected in Woman’s Death on Northern California Trail

Butte County deputies and detectives suspect the death of a woman on a trail about two hours northeast of Sacramento last week was caused by a domestic dog attack. The woman, who has been identified as Davina Corbin, 56, was found dead Aug. 8 around 2 a.m. on the Blackhawk Trail in Feather Falls. According to authorities, an autopsy revealed multiple bite marks and injuries on Corbin’s body, and an analysis of her clothing confirmed the presence of DNA “consistent with domestic dog(s).” After obtaining a search warrant for a home near where Corbin’s body was found, authorities say they located 25 Great Danes running loose on the property....
