
10,000 NHS Appointments Postponed Following Cyber Attack

The NHS has said that the number of acute outpatient appointments postponed at two major London hospital trusts has reached 10,001, more than two months after a cyber attack affected pathology services. A further 1,680 elective procedures were also postponed at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, NHS England said in a statement on Thursday. King’s and Guy’s and St. Thomas’ were two of the worst-affected health service groups impacted by the June 3 ransomware attack on Synnovis, which provides pathology services to a number of south east London hospitals as well as specialist tests for other hospitals across the country....
