
Housing Price Index: Average UK House Prices Rise by £2,200 in July

The average house price in the UK increased by more than £2,200 in the month of July, following three relatively stagnant months according to a housing price index. Halifax said house prices increased by 0.8 percent month-on-month and by 2.3 percent annually. Across the UK, the average house price in July was £291,268, up from £289,042 in June. Northern Ireland once again continues to record the strongest annual house price growth in the UK, rising by 5.8 percent on an annual basis in July. An average property in Northern Ireland will now set buyers back £195,681. Strong Growth House prices in the North West also recorded strong growth, up 4.1 percent, compared to the previous year, properties here now average £232,489....
