Vice President Kamala Harris chose Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate on Tuesday. Walz is an Army National Guard veteran, a former congressman, and a former high school teacher. He will join Harris on a seven-state battleground tour this week, visiting cities including Philadelphia, Detroit, Raleigh, and Las Vegas. The Justice Department charged a Pakistani man with alleged ties to the Iranian regime in connection with a foiled assassination plot. FBI investigators believe he was trying to target former President Donald Trump and other current and former U.S. officials. Tropical Storm Debby has brought heavy rain and extensive flooding to Georgia and South Carolina. At least six people have been killed in the southeast, and more than 90.000 customers are without power in the region....
