1 Dead in Georgia as Tropical Storm Debby Pours Over Southeast US

Tropical Storm Debby has racked up at least one death and tens of thousands of power outages since crossing the Florida–Georgia line on Aug. 5, and the National Hurricane Center (NHC) continues to warn of catastrophic rain and flooding for the southeastern United States. “There were four fatalities in the state of Florida and a tragic loss of life of a 19 year old in Moultrie, Georgia,” said Georgia’s Gov. Brian Kemp. “We just want to offer our thoughts and prayers to all those that have been affected, and certainly our prayers for our fellow Georgians, our neighbors to the south, in Florida and above us in South Carolina that are feeling the effects of this storm.”...
