US Sanctions Members of CJNG Mexican Cartel for Fentanyl Trafficking

The U.S. Treasury Department on Tuesday imposed sanctions on two Mexican members of Cartel de Jalisco Nueva Generacion (CJNG) for their roles in trafficking fentanyl and other drugs to the United States. CJNG, also known as the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, is one of the largest fentanyl producers and traffickers to the United States, according to a Treasury Department statement.
