LAPD: Man Arrested in Attack on Woman Pushing Baby in Stroller

LOS ANGELES—A man who allegedly attacked a woman as she walked with her month-old daughter in a stroller in the Brentwood area was arrested July 18. The crime occurred about 4:40 p.m. Tuesday on Gretna Green Way near Mayfield Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The suspect approached the victim from behind and grabbed her, police said in a statement. “The victim turned around and struck the suspect in the face, who then struck the victim in the face multiple times, causing her to fall to the ground and sustain serious injuries,” police said. “The suspect then fled on foot towards Montana Avenue. Detectives from West Los Angeles division identified the suspect as 26-year-old Los Angeles resident, Abraham Shily,” police said....
