
Vigil, Public Visitation Planned for Firefighter Killed at Trump Rally

A series of events have been planned this week to commemorate the life of Corey Comperatore, a firefighter who was killed during the assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on July 13. Mr. Comperatore, 50, was a 10-year veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves. He served in the early 2000s as the chief of the Buffalo Township Volunteer Fire Company in Sarver, Pennsylvania, and remained a member until his death. At the July 13 Trump rally in Butler, about 13 miles from his home, Mr. Comperatore used his body as a shield for his wife and daughter against the bullets fired by a young man from the top of a nearby building....
