
Royal College of Physicians Urges Doctors to Talk to Patients About Climate Change

The Royal College of Physicians has introduced guidance urging doctors to talk to patients about climate change in their daily medical routines. On Monday, the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) released a “Green Physician Toolkit” which it said brought together “key actions” its 40,000 member physicians can take in their day-to-day practice to adapt and help “mitigate the effects of climate change.” The RCP claims that “climate change is one of the biggest threats to health” and that “heat-related deaths” will rapidly increase. However, critics claim that the oldest medical college in England, which was founded in 1518 by King Henry VIII, is evidence of “fashionable green politics seeping into almost every part of the public sector.”...
