Tory Leader Pierre Poilievre Condemns ‘Attempted Murder’ of Trump

Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre said he condemns the attack on former U.S. President Donald Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13. “I condemn in the strongest of terms the attempted murder of former President Trump today,” Mr. Poilievre said on X on July 13. Several shots were fired while Mr. Trump was speaking in front of a crowd of tens of thousands of people. During the shooting, Mr. Trump grabbed his right ear, before Secret Service agents brought him down to the floor near the podium, and later took him away from the area in a vehicle. Authorities later said that Mr. Trump is safe with a minor injury, while a rallygoer was killed in the attack. The person who allegedly shot at the president is dead as well, according to the Butler County district attorney....
