Dangerous Swell Before Fatal Boat Capsized

Dangerous swell is being probed as the cause of a boat capsizing where one man died and another was injured in northern New South Wales (NSW). Two people were seen clinging to the upturned hull of a 6.5-metre boat at the north wall of the Tweed River Bar at about 6 a.m. on July 13. Emergency crews launched a rescue operation including local and marine police, a rescue helicopter, and lifesavers.
