Live eels writhed on the tarmac at Vancouver airport July 7 after the container they were being transported in broke during handling. The shipment had been sent from Toronto to Vancouver, Air Canada said in a statement to media, adding that the box had accidentally opened while being unloaded. YVR’s media relations confirmed to The Epoch Times the incident occurred on Sunday, July 7. The news went viral after a video of the scene was posted on the social media platform X. The video shows more than a dozen eels wriggling on the apron surface around a plane, with at least one more eel sliding down the ramp. Someone could be heard screaming in the background....
