LOS ANGELES—A 27-year-old man suspected of kicking a dog and throwing it down a staircase in the East Hollywood neighborhood was taken into custody, police said on July 8. Patrol officers from the Rampart Community Police Station responded to the 4000 block of Oakwood Avenue, near Vermont Avenue and Beverly Boulevard, around 3:25 p.m. July 7, regarding information posted on social media by a concerned witness suggesting animal cruelty, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
