
Man Charged with Fourth of July Stabbings
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif.—A 26-year-old man was charged July 8 with fatally stabbing two men and attempting to kill three others in a Fourth of July attack in Huntington Beach. Logan Christopher Kelley, 26, of Huntington Beach, was charged with two counts of murder with special circumstances allegations of multiple murders, three counts of attempted murder, and a count of assault with a deadly weapon, all felonies. He was also charged with a misdemeanor count of battery on a police officer and faces sentencing enhancements for the personal use of a deadly weapon and attempted premeditated murder. The victims killed in the Fourth of July attack were identified as 47-year-old William Thomas Collins and 42-year-old Eric Clayton Hodges, both of Huntington Beach, according to Orange County Sheriff’s Sgt.
