
Forecasters Warn of Intensifying Tropical Storm Beryl, Increased Risk for Texas Coast

Tropical storm Beryl hasn’t lost any strength as it’s gotten closer to Texas, per an updated advisory from the National Hurricane Center (NHC), which put parts of the Texas coast on a tropical storm warning and others on a hurricane watch. NHC forecasters said in an updated public advisory, issued at 10:00 a.m. CDT, that a tropical storm warning is now in effect for the Texas coast, south of Baffin Bay to the mouth of the Rio Grande River, as Beryl has moved about 35 miles closer to Corpus Christi since the agency’s prior 7:00 a.m. advisory.
