
Tories Lose All Their Seats in Wales

The Conservative Party has suffered a complete wipe out in Wales, with Labour regaining a number of key seats. Labour won 27 of the 32 seats available, with Plaid Cymru ending up with four MPs and the Liberal Democrats with one. The party led by Sir Keir Starmer acquired a number of major seats including Monmouthshire, Vale of Glamorgan, Bridgend, and Wrexham. The Conservatives, who held 14 seats after Boris Johnson’s victory in 2019, lost every single one, and with it about 18 percent of the general votes across Wales.
