
Bob’s Stores Shuts Down Stores After Seven Decades in Operation

Apparel retailer Bob’s Stores is shutting down all stores nationwide, citing difficulty in maintaining operations after its primary lender stopped funding the firm. Bob’s Stores will close 21 outlets across Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York state, and Rhode Island as part of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing made on June 18, the company said in a July 1 press release. “Despite making swift and aggressive changes to the company’s structure and operations, Bob’s Stores was unable to secure the finances needed to maintain operations.
