US State Department Updates Travel Advisory to Israel

The U.S. Department of State issued an updated warning against Americans traveling to Israel, West Bank, and Gaza citing ongoing violence in the region, while noting that the consulate may not be able to assist if the security situation worsens. In its June 27 travel advisory update, the State Department asked Americans not to travel to Gaza due to terrorism and armed conflict. It asked people to reconsider travel to Israel and the West Bank due to terrorism and civil unrest. “Terrorist groups, lone-actor terrorists, and other violent extremists continue plotting possible attacks in Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza.
