Supreme Court of Georgia Orders Removal of Judge Over Misconduct

The removal of a Georgia Probate Court Judge was ruled appropriate by the state’s supreme court on June 25, officially removing the judge from the bench and barring her from running for office again for seven years. The decision followed numerous alleged violations of the Code of Judicial Conduct by Douglas County Probate Court Judge Christina Peterson. Douglas County is west of Fulton County in the Atlanta Metro area.
