Ontario Drivers Looking at New Measures to Deter Car Theft

Ontario drivers have been turning to retractable bollards to prevent car theft from their property, according to local business owners. Vehicle owners in Canada have been dealing with escalating levels of auto theft over the past few years. Interpol stats show more than 200 stolen Canadian vehicles have been found around the globe each week since February. Interpol’s database, which collects information from 137 countries, shows that Canada ranks among the top 10 countries for vehicle theft. Managing director of Ontario Bollards, Danny Zanchi, said he has watched the product grow in popularity since 2013.
