
Trudeau Heads to Italy for G7 Summit
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is travelling to Italy on June 12 to attend the annual Group of Seven (G7) leaders’ summit. The three-day summit, held from June 13 to June 15 in Apulia, Italy, brings together leaders of seven wealthy democratic nations to discuss various global issues. The agenda includes the Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Hamas conflicts, the energy transition, artificial intelligence, migration, and collaboration with Africa, according to the G7 website. Mr. Trudeau will also participate in the Ukraine Peace Summit on June 15 and June 16 before returning to Ottawa.
