
In Northern and Central California, It’s Getting Hot, Hot, Hot

A heatwave is expected to send temperatures soaring in parts of central and northern California this week, the National Weather Service warned June 10. Excessive heat warnings were issued Monday morning for Death Valley National Park and the Shasta Lake area, including northern and central Sacramento Valley. High temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday could reach from 95 to 107 degrees in those areas, the National Weather Service reported. The lows will drop to the mid-60s or 70s at night. The weather service also issued heat advisories for much of Northern California, including Santa Clara Valley, San Jose, the East Bay, North Bay, and interior Monterey County and Pinnacles National Park....
