
Heat Wave Brings Triple-Digit Temperatures to Antelope Valley

LOS ANGELES—Triple-digit temperatures baked the Antelope Valley again Thursday, June 6, and while the heat is expected to back off slightly, much of the area will still be bathed in hotter-than-normal weather into Friday. An excessive heat warning will be in effect until 8 p.m. Thursday for the Antelope Valley, where temperatures had topped the 100-degree mark by early afternoon. According to the National Weather Service (NWS), temperatures in some areas were expected to hit 106 degrees. After the warning expires at 8 p.m., it will be replaced by a Heat Advisory, with forecasters warning of temperatures up to 103 degrees.
