Boy Killed, 4 Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash Near Orange County High School

PLACENTIA, Calif.—An 11th-grade student at El Dorado High School was killed June 4 in a two-vehicle crash near the campus, and four other people were injured. The crash occurred around 8:20 a.m. at Yorba Linda Boulevard and Valencia Avenue, according to Sgt. Joe Connell of the Placentia Police Department. Responding officers found the teenage boy trapped inside a vehicle, which he was apparently driving to the school. Firefighters and paramedics extricated him and took him to a hospital, where he died from his injuries. Although his age was not released, Mr. Connell said the boy was in the 11th grade. The boy’s passenger, another male juvenile, had exited the vehicle under his own power and was located at the scene and taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Mr. Connell said....
