
Zelenskyy Accuses Russia of Using China’s Influence to Disrupt Ukraine Peace Summit
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sunday accused Russia of using China’s influence in the Asia-Pacific region to disrupt an upcoming peace summit, which centers on the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war. Mr. Zelenskyy said that China was pressuring other countries into not attending the peace summit, scheduled to be held in Switzerland on June 15-16, though he did not specify which countries. “Unfortunately, regrettably, Russia, using Chinese influence on the region, using Chinese diplomats, does everything to disrupt the peace summit,” he told a news conference at the Shangri-La defense forum in Singapore. “Regrettably this is unfortunate that such a big independent powerful country as China is an instrument in the hands of [Russian leader Vladimir] Putin,” the Ukrainian leader added....
