An attorney for former President Donald Trump said his client should not be sentenced to prison after he was convicted Thursday for falsifying business records. “There’s a system in place where you rely on precedent, and somebody like President Trump should never, never face a jail sentence based on this conduct,” Trump attorney Todd Blanche told CNN after the verdict was handed down.
