Third Culture Bakery, home of mochi treats and other sweets, will close its San Francisco location citing difficulty finding and keeping employees. Based in Berkeley, owners Sam Butarbutar and Wenter Shyu opened their San Francisco location on Irving Street three years ago during the COVID-19 pandemic. The location, two blocks south of Golden Gate Park in the Inner Sunset neighborhood, will close June 2, according to an announcement posted by the company on Instagram May 29. “Despite our steady growth at this new location, we have faced persistent challenges in finding and retaining experienced team members,” the owners said in the social media post....
