Federal Judge Dies After Being Struck by a Vehicle Near Nevada Courthouse

Authorities on Wednesday confirmed the death of U.S. District Judge Larry Hicks in Reno, Nevada, on Wednesday. He was 80. Judge Hicks, an appointee of former President George W. Bush in 2001, was struck at an intersection Wednesday afternoon, taken to a hospital and pronounced dead, police said in a news release.
