Child Was 1 of 4 Shot in Hackney Shooting

A child is among four people injured in a shooting near a restaurant in Hackney, East London on Wednesday evening. The child remains in serious condition and police say they are waiting for updates on the condition of the adults also injured in the incident, according to a statement from Metropolitan Police on Thursday. All four people sustained gunshot injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment. Officers, including specialist firearms officers, and London Ambulance Service were called to the scene in Kingsland High Street at about 9:20 p.m. on Wednesday.
