Los Angeles County to Hire Consultant to Analyze Economic Impact of 2028 Olympics

LOS ANGELES—The county Board of Supervisors agreed May 21 to spend as much as $200,000 to hire a consultant to analyze the anticipated economic impact and opportunities associated with hosting the upcoming 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The board approved a motion directing the county CEO and Department of Economic Opportunity to hire a consultant within 60 days and have an analysis completed 90 days after that.
