Man Stabbed on Metro Bus in Lynwood Area; Suspect Arrested

LYNWOOD, Calif.—A stabbing on a Metro bus in the Lynwood area, south of Los Angeles, on May 21 left a man injured and a suspect in custody in the latest violent incident to plague the troubled transit system. Paramedics sent to the area of Long Beach Boulevard and Norton Avenue at about 11:20 a.m. took one person to a hospital in unknown condition, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The stabbing occurred aboard the bus, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Transit Services Bureau (TSB). “Deputies responded to a Metro bus located at the intersection of Long Beach Boulevard and Norton Avenue in the city of Lynwood regarding an assault call for service,” the sheriff’s department said in a statement early Tuesday afternoon....
